Privacy Policy for OpenClawAi.run

Effective date: January 31, 2026. Last updated: January 31, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains what data OpenClawAi.run collects, how we use it, and how you can control your information when using the online OpenClaw tool.

Plain-language summary

We collect the minimum data required to operate the service. Your content stays inside your instance, and you can delete that instance at any time. We do not sell your data or use it to train models.

Minimal data BYOK Deletion control

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three primary categories. The goal is to keep the service reliable without retaining unnecessary personal data.

Account data

Email address and basic account identifiers used for login, support, and service updates.

Instance metadata

Instance IDs, creation times, and lifecycle states required to manage the hosted OpenClaw instance.

Access logs

Limited logs such as timestamps, IP addresses, and user agents used for security and troubleshooting.

Content stored in your instance

Conversation data, files, or outputs you choose to store inside your own instance environment.

We do not collect payment details during the free beta and do not collect sensitive personal information unless you choose to provide it in support requests.

2. How we use information

We use collected information to deliver the service, keep it secure, and provide support. This includes operating instances, maintaining the console, and responding to incidents or questions. We do not sell or rent your information and do not use your content to train AI models.

3. Data retention and deletion

Account data is retained while your account is active. Instance data is retained only as long as the instance exists. If an instance is deleted, the data inside it is removed and cannot be recovered. If an instance remains inactive for one month, it is removed to protect resources.

Access logs are retained for a limited period to investigate abuse, maintain security, and troubleshoot incidents. We aim to keep this retention window short and proportional to operational needs.

4. BYOK credentials

OpenClawAi.run is BYOK, meaning you supply your own model key. Keys are stored inside your instance only and can be deleted through the console. If you delete the instance, the key is removed as part of that deletion.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not share your information with third parties except as necessary to operate the Service or comply with legal obligations. When you connect third-party providers (such as model APIs), you are responsible for the information you send to those providers and for complying with their terms.

6. Support communications

If you contact support, we may keep the correspondence and any diagnostic details you provide. This helps us resolve issues and improve reliability. We recommend avoiding sensitive data in support messages and never sending API keys or credentials.

7. Security measures

We use isolation, access controls, and operational safeguards to protect user data. The security model is described in more detail on the Security & Privacy page.

8. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies. If we introduce additional analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy and provide clear notice so you can make informed choices.

9. International access

OpenClawAi.run may be accessed from multiple regions. When you use the Service, your data may be processed in locations where the Service operates. We apply the same security practices regardless of region and aim to keep data handling consistent with this policy.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children and is intended for users who can provide legally valid consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

11. Your choices

You can delete your instance and remove credentials at any time. You can also contact support to request account deletion or additional information about data handling.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. Updates will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service indicates acceptance of the revised policy.

13. Contact

For privacy questions, email support@openclawai.run with "Privacy" in the subject line. We will respond as quickly as possible.
